Hammel Definition:

Post Hole: n. a metaphorical indent in the ground caused by the number of posts you owe at any given time. The depth of the hole is directly proportional to the number of these posts, so one may say they are “five deep in the hole” when they owe five posts. The act of posting multiple times in a short time span is known as “digging out” and having several rp partners post at once is known as “being buried.”

I was going to title this RP definition, but I don’t know if these terms are a quirk of Hammel’s chatbox. I don’t think I’ve seen them other places. People on other sites, do you have unusual terms for RP stuff?

What's your favorite first to RP? First graduation, first day of school, first date etc.

Dryope: I’m trying to think back on all the RPs I have done and see if there are any “firsts” in common. This question has made me realize how much I pre-establish even with younger characters; I never realized how much I did that. I tend to do first meetings a lot, but not because I like those. If I can convince people our characters have met before then I would rather do that. I suppose that I really enjoy firsts when they are related to learning a skill (like Josh learning to drive.)

Tony: First time meeting someone in a forced arrangement. One where it isn’t just chance, but the characters have no control over who they’re with. When my characters don’t have time to ready themselves for a meeting, their personalities show through the best. Isaac was paired with Aphrodite for the Valentine’s Day Dance and proceeded to feed himself his own foot. James met Nina during a school lockdown drill and was close to a panic attack while Nina convinced him he had to worry about tornados in Vermont.
